Fam Fam and the King of Kings

Today I'm exceedingly grateful to my parents. And how they parent. They love me, unconditionally. And they allow me to fall flat on my face- yet encourage good things and guide me ever so gently in decisions. They allow me to explore and be me- They allow me to decide where I live and who I am friends with and who I date, and all of that. They let me be me, and this is what I love.

One of my friends parents is making them move home for a bit- In the long run I can see how this is going to be a helpful and beneficial thing for this young woman- but I see her pain as she's being pulled from her friends, boyfriend, and life that she's known for the last 2 years.

Today I'm super grateful for the gift of agency. I'm grateful that I get to choose to become, who, where and what I may become. I get to choose how I develop into my potential while creating, with the Lord's help of course, whatever thing he has in mind. I'm grateful to his guidance and my knowledge of his perfect outcomes- I'm grateful that he can see me from the beginning and through the end, especially while I have the blindfold of mortality.

Today I'm grateful for gospel doctrine and for the fact that it is truth. Truth is at the root of every teaching that we learn. I'm grateful that we can learn from the scriptures and through prayer- and also that we can expand our learning to more nontraditional routes- by examining the products of such a wonderful creator we can see elements of his being in their detail. We can see his love- with the amount of care that he placed in his creation.

school's out for the summer

So, I'm pretty excited about school being out for break and being able to work full time. :)
It hasn't set in completely, but it'll be good.
I'm pretty homesick. Debating on taking a weekend trip on the first week of may. I'm going home in June- so I figure I can handle waiting just 6 more weeks.
I think I just need some nature. I just need to see more what God has made, instead of only buildings and structures that man has made. Maybe if I climb to the highest mountain top and look directly up I'll be able to wonder at his magnificence more clearly.
It's spring for sure and the sun has been showing it's face more- which offers hope for a great summer.
I've got a hefty list of things to do this year before NOV. I have my 25 before 25 to complete :)
I haven't really had tons of motivation to blog. I'm not sure why- my words are blocked- which is fine I suppose. It's not like it's a necessity for a person that's written for the last 10 years to be able to write.
I wish people would just calm down, Cuz I'm finally happy. I wish they'd allow it so after all the excitement faded they could see that we were still smiling. I wish the noise would stop so we could hear the heavenly whispers.

deep- all inclusive- nonconditional- eternal- full- forever- intense- real- in your face- excited for- anticipation.

I don't want to be quiet.

raised

I wish I could re do somethings- some conversations.
My unknowing became a sting for the future. If I could have only seen, or been taught to look ahead.
Spring time raises a misty morning sun, i hope you can see it too.
I hope the sun shines on you these days and offers grace without limits.
I hope your blessed and happy now.
Walk in pastures that offer serenity, capture the beauty of the life around you.
The memories, some still feel malted, but my hope is sugar sweet.

without my pride, I reach out from the inside.

progressional plateaus.

When I hyperextended my knee this past summer running, I hit different levels of healing and it increased my ability each time I progressed to a knew level. First, it was that swelling decreased and I was able to walk and not limp. Second, was range of motion- through stretching I eventually was able to get back to a normal range of motion. Third was the lack of constant pain. Fourth was the ability to run without a brace because my muscles finally got strong enough to support the joint again. Fifth was the ability to almost forget that it even happened.

I think healing internally is the same way.

I think at first things feel like a stretch and it seems hard to even imagine running again, but then you work it out, and you can live as though the accident never even occurred.
I think you heal, and then you forget, and then it resurfaces and you heal some more, and then you forget, and then it resurfaces and you heal some more. Maybe it's not healing that happening each time, but gaining more perspective- maybe its time that offers more perspective.
Anyhow- eventually you begin hoping only good things are happening for all who were involved.

Because God offers you the love to borrow to heal the wound and burry the burden.

Anthropology

Idea: misunderstanding breeds hate.
Hate breeds war
Wars result in death.

how about we save our lives and communicate.

Even if our communication isn't perfect, if we take the time to do it we can start to understand each other's language and grasp intention before it's misread.

Today I learned the principle of: by small and simple things great things come to pass- at a deeper level.
-By small and simple people great works come to pass, miracles are wrought, and the work is moved forward
-Steps that offer progression are those of continuing faith and obedience.
-God doesn't require greatness in our first attempts or even our 30th attempt but he does require effort, endurance, and all our hearts.

I think the proverb that states "in all thy getting get understanding" isn't just saying that. I think its denoting the importance of understanding and what it is in its form of love.

what is, is beautiful

that I would be good
I really love honesty.
I love honest love more.
I love when the sun makes you shine.
I love when you get bashful because I can't stop looking at you.
I love when an orchestra plays together but they build with intensity as instruments are added.
I like that most drummers can make you feel the beat in your heart during live music.
I think it's incredible when music itches the back of your legs and makes you move.
I think it's life changing when you find a sculpture that you identify with.
Or even more with a painters entire collection because your ideals are already portrayed.
I'm satisfied with the fact that my dreams are coming closer to reality.
I can't help but smile when I remember praying and feeling assurance of those dreams.
I love light, and i love that Einstein was obsessed, and the fact that Jesus Christ is the light of the world, and the fact that Rembrandt painted it perfectly.
School's out in three weeks- and something else amazing will probably happen in that time.
It pumps me up.
I like that what is, doesn't need to be dressed up because it's already beautiful.
I love that i fell asleep for 3 hours at the end of the day and didn't worry about it.
I love that I could make a five year plan yesterday.
I love that I cooked without a recipe tonight and it was a hit.
I like that you can watch the sunrise any day, but i especially love it on Easter.
I love that there is nothing like a hug from a family member.
I love that even though sometimes things seem impossible, through Jesus Christ they are not.
I really appreciate that there are living prophets and apostles, that the truth has been restored, and that we can have a perfect knowledge of who we are.

"That I would be good, even if I got a thumbs down."

I like when I play a song for you for the first time i give you all the disclaimers and you agree to still love me even if it sucks.
I've learned that even when it's not good- it can get great

paperweight

I'm glad I don't wear my pants up to my belly button. not only would it be uncomfortable, but I'd feel like a grandma- randomness.

I watched a tear jerker movie tonight- Pretty sure I whimpered for about 45 minutes.

Learned a new song on the guitar- heard it for the first time tonight and LOVED it.
I'm excited.
schuyler fisk- discovered her about... 6 years ago- heard another good one. Fantastic!

I wrote two papers tonight. Two. Today was really quite amazing.

~every word you say I think I should write down, i don't wanna forget come daylight~
